The exhibition showcases a selection of projects and research developed by students at the Politecnico di Milano
regarding the Uljanik shipyard island in Pula. The Design Studio promoted reflection on the growing demand for spaces that encourage social gatherings in light of the post-pandemic condition. The objective is to enable intergenerational
activities and enhance the integration of cultural pursuits with well-being activities while reimagining new productive
functions. The students devised a new urban masterplan for the Uljanik island and urban waterfront while designing a vertical tower, a "social condenser" that would interact with the complexity of the city of Pula.
