Drawing on nearly a decade of applied research in Africa, African Fabbers Atlas: Manual of Synthetic Vernacular Architecture by Paolo Cascone critically examines the epistemological and practical relevance of indigenous and spontaneous architecture within contemporary discourses on sustainability. Through a series of case studies and
interdisciplinary dialogues, it proposes a framework for rethinking architectural practice in relation to climate, technology, and community.
